If you enjoyed Agatha Christie’s Miss Marple, then my protagonist will not disappoint. She has a sharp mind and an inquisitive nose. She sniffs in strange places and at times bungles up the good inspector’s investigation.

The Jeera Farmer

The zamindars were powerful people. The poor, illiterate farmers were indebted to them for the rest of their lives. They lived in abject poverty and did not dare to revolt against the zamindars.
One evening on the Full Moon festival Kumarji whipped Abhay in front of the whole village. What was his crime? To save Rukhmani from the greedy clutches of the most powerful man in the village.

His wounds were deep but pride flared up and he rose against the cruel zamindars. Not only was Kumarji after his Jeera farm and his mango grooves but also his lovely wife Rukhmani.

Like a hunted animal, Abhay fled from his beloved village and settled in the slums of Delhi.
Will he return and reclaim his land?
